3.1 What is SD-WAN
SD-WAN (Software-Defined Wide Area Network) is an Internet-based technology for centrally managing networks across multiple regions. It is used to connect enterprise networks, data centers, internet applications, and cloud services over a wide geographical area. Through virtual private networks, it meets the needs of enterprises for inter-branch visits, remote access to internal network data, and secure and reliable interconnectivity at the business level.
Unlike traditional VPN networking, SD-WAN does not require senior IT management personnel or high-cost broadband fees. It can complete internal enterprise networking across regions and can add or delete nodes at any time, which is convenient and fast.
